Between exchange and completion?

What happens? We exchanged 2 weeks ago and we are supposed to complete on Friday. I have paid the solicitor the final bill (inc stamp duty) but have heard nothing else. I just called and an assistant said no there is nothing else we need now we have exchanged and I don't need to do anything. But I read something about a Stamp Duty Land Tax form - I haven't signed one of these, do I need to?

Do I just wait now to hear from the estate agent on Friday saying they have the keys? Not really sure what is going on!

You shouldn't have to do anything else. Once you have exchanged you can relax, there will be no problems (unless someone in the chain dies suddenly or something, which would be bad). Your solicitor might call you on completion day to say that it is done, otherwise the estate agent will.

Ah ok, just so used to chasing people to do things and I didn't want anything to go wrong because I hadn't nagged the right person Grin. If we don't exchange on Friday our mortgage offer and the mortgage deal itself both run out so we would be up shit creek!
