It's now 3.45pm. Should I be worried that we haven't completed yet?

Awww no what to you conveyancers say. I had a house move like this and it required much pestering but we did finally complete by 5.30 on the last business day before Christmas despite the conveyancers saying they were going off to their office party and couldn't helpAngry
It didn't make much difference to me as I'd already moved but the people waiting in the van outside had wee kids and it was excruciating. Pester pester pester and get to the bottom of the delay.
Fingers crossed it's gonna happen soon

uncross fingers and use them to make phone calls. As it is now 7pm, hope you did!

eurozammo · 24/06/2013 18:57

I had one like this - the money got held up somewhere. I spent the afternoon wearing the pavement out and shouting at people on the phone! Just as I had arranged for my furniture to be stored overnight and was sorting out somewhere to stay, it happened (just after 5pm). FFS that was a stressful day! I hope you got in eventually OP.

ShoeJunkie · 24/06/2013 18:57

Have you phoned to check? I spent an entire day waiting for a phone call to say I'd completed on my flat, it wasn't until I phoned the estate agent to be told that yes, everything had gone through and I could go and get the keys.

poocatcherchampion · 24/06/2013 21:48

Are you in?

InLoveWithDavidTennant · 24/06/2013 22:09

yes... did you get the keys?

you cant keep us in suspense like this Grin

superlambanana · 25/06/2013 00:07

Thanks - sorry, been very stressed til now!! Our buyer's solicitors mucked up and didn't send money to ours til 3.45. Ours needed to send it to our vendors by 2.30 so by time it got there it was too later for their mortgage to be redeemed. The only way we got keys was because the first solicitor agree to pay £12.75 interest on that mortgage (one day's worth) to cover it, and we'll officially complete tomorrow morning. Idiots!!!!
