Any experience with Royal Kensington kitchen from Costco??

I have heard it is made by Neptune and the website looks good and the price is really good for a handpainted kitchen. Has anyone had any experience with them? And do you know if you can see them in-store? I can't remember seeing one the last time we were there (Costco Croydon).

Costco do kitchens???

I love Costco but would warn you that our nearest large independent furniture stores (one in Southport, one in Preston)have stopped selling Neptune furniture after "a higher than acceptable" number of problems and poor service in remeying them. I had considered Neptune for my kitchen table and chairs but both store told me the same story and a small local shop told me they didn't recommend Neptune because of problems with the painted finishes.

It looks lush. Where are the prices?

I've seen them in store, they are right by the exit in the birmingham store.

They look sturdy enough.

Prices are on their website here royalkensington.com/Specifications.aspx and are generally about 30% cheaper than Kit Stone / Neptune. It's very tempting but I'm a bit concerned about the limited range of carcasses as well as the fact that it only comes in one colour. Part of the reason for wanting a painted kitchen is so we could choose the cabinet colour (but to cutom paint this afterwards would eat away all the savings).
We're also looking at Handmade Kitchens Direct but I just went to their showroom and I wasn't completely impressed by the quality (felt a little "homemade" instead of "handmade").

I tried to order a Royal Kensington kitchen in March 2013 and was told by Costco Reading that they were no longer working with RK and had a new kitchen supplier. I phoned RK directly and was told they were discontinuing the line as they were creating a commercial line which would be priced about 20-25% more and the existing stock was limited. I went through the design process and when I tried to order directly through RK, they would not take my order saying they were out of stock. A friend had a similar experience with them.

I ended up ordering from Parlour Farm and have been so pleased with the results. We had many more options with Parlour Farm, pricing was reasonable and the process from design to delivery and installation was smooth and easy. Kitchen looks fab too.

Has anyone recent experience of Parlour painted kitchens?
