Gosh that's a low of mowing.

And not enough pictures! I want to see the kitchen (which I note faces north, though I guess the windows are vast enough for it not to matter.)

mrsspongebob · 22/06/2013 13:56

No kitchen or bathroom photos. If that was a normally priced house I wouldn't go!

fussychica · 22/06/2013 18:34

Blimey didn't realise the local property market had slumped that much - a £3 million loss on an £8.5 mill house Shock

GemmaTeller · 22/06/2013 19:12

Or you could buy Johnny Vaughans London house - its very white!

I thought he put this on 2 years ago? Not enough piccies to nose around inside Smile

GemmaTeller · 22/06/2013 19:52

Twas in my Rightmove email this morning, maybe they're struggling to sell it?
The gardens only tiny.

He bought this house when it was massively overvalued, and AFAIK has been trying to sell it for a couple of years. It has a lot of land but overlooks the local graveyard .

Choccywoccydodah · 22/06/2013 20:01

Overlooks landfill too looking at the comments box!

landofsoapandglory · 22/06/2013 20:02

I saw it this morning. If I win the EuroMillions on Tuesday I am going to buy it just because I can and I love him. I may even offer a little bit more if he will leave me some slept on sheets.Blush

SvetlanaKirilenko · 22/06/2013 20:09

Landfill is not far from the house as the crow flies, don't know if it actually overlooks it but possibly as the house is on a bit of a hill.

The house was owned by Sir Norman Foster many years ago but was allegedly "done up" in a none too stylish way by the last owners. I think Robbie bought it and spent a lot on it, doing it up again...so a big loss for him.

Love this thread: who else can send me links to peruse....???

tribpot · 24/06/2013 23:21

How does a house that big have only seven bedrooms? Each one must be the size of an aircraft hangar Shock (and just as draughty).

Karbea · 24/06/2013 23:24

Or Jamie Theakstons pad...

kitsmummy · 25/06/2013 07:08

Thank you, out of that lot I will happily take Jamie's off his hands

NewFerry · 25/06/2013 07:26

To be honest, it looks more like a posh hotel, with each bedroom having its own ensuite to one side, and sitting room to the other. The main reception room is huge, and would work well for hotel guests, but would be really impersonal for a family :(
Love the pool, fountains and grounds though!

GemmaTeller · 25/06/2013 08:02

I like the extension on Jamie Theakstons house - I do not like the bathrooms!

I love Jamie Theakston's loos Blush

herethereandeverywhere · 25/06/2013 21:06

Love Theakstons house but hate the mock Victoriana bathrooms. Everything else is just my style if I was a multimillionaire

bluebump · 25/06/2013 21:11

This has just reminded me that I've forgotten to get a Euro Millions ticket for tonight. Sigh. I like Jamie's house a lot.

I know quite a lot about Robbie's house.

Yes, it is very near a massive landfill site.

Yes, the previous owner had dodgy taste - he was a porn baron.

Yes, Robbie tried to sell it a few years' ago. Rumour was Jensen Button was interested. But it didn't sell and now he is taking a massive haircut on the price.

He originally bought it because his best mate Jonny Wilkes lived quite nearby, in Royal Wootton Bassett.
