replacing windows - how messy is it going to get?

having a couple of sash box windows removed and replaced with triple glazing.
do I need to get protecting sheets?

the company who does it should cover everything up, but it's not too messy.

We had ours replaced in our last flat and it was fine... I'm hoping for another good experience with our new house as we will be having the same done there.
