New house is on a different supplier, do i just read meters at old and new and notify old supplier i'm moving?

Yep. Give old supplier the reading on your move out date and your new address for the final bill.

Give new supplier new reading when you move in.

Check both on first bills to ensure they are right. All done :)

A useful tip I saw on here was to take pictures of the meters on your phone, so you know you've got the right information, and it'll be dated as well

Notify the old supplier in advance, and phone the final readings through on moving day.

Turn off the supply at the meters once you have taken the final reading, and write it on a big label which you tie onto the meters before you go. Preferably show the new occupier the reading to avod future quibbles.
