Nearing the end of renovating our forever home (has to be forever as we'll divorce if we try this again), and wondering how to finish new solid pine internal doors. Would like to keep them looking natural, but without breaking my already bankrupted budget. Tried wood oil, but 2 thick coats seems to have made no difference - does it just soak in?? Wondering if should try wax instead?
