I love those pretty house magazines but they are expensive. Does anyone have any online inspiration I can look at for free?

And my fave blogs...

In case Lavender is not about...You have your own boards where you pin new things you find on tinterweb/ repin other people's pins OR the best bit really, use the search engine so...

Search "Elephant's breath" and lots of rooms using this paint colour pop up. Or "stripey duvet" etc etc.

OR just browse the Home Decor section which sometimes is full of bobbins.

OR follow lots of people who are like minded and just see what they pin.

If you like something, pin it to a board of your own so you can always find it. Double click on the image and it takes you back to the original source website - usually a lovely blog!

I lose hours on it.

msrisotto, once you have an account on pinterest you can search for photographs to get inspiration for home decor and design. If you like the photo you can pin it to your own board (a file of yours).

There are millions of home decor and home design and interior design photos on pinterest.

Search for somethgin and you'll find it.

E.G search for 'beautiful living room' or 'wallpaper' or 'cozy living space' and you will find stuff.

It's like all the beautiful photos out of all the magazines all at once.

x posted with spotty.

Pinterest is fab!!! It really is.

GrendelsMum · 13/06/2013 17:36

I think Houzz is easier to use than Pinterest, to be honest, but it's the same thing. You type in what you want (like Google) and it shows you pictures. The downside is that Houzz is mostly American, so there are some things that aren't relative.

msrisotto · 13/06/2013 17:52

Ok, turns out I just thought I had an account. (Think I got it confused with Fikr, which I also don't understand...). I have since registered and had a go and it makes more sense.

Anyways, Blimmin 'eck! I can see how you'd lose days on there! You like one thing so you pin it and before you can look at the rest of the page it shows you somewhere else fabulous it came from in the first place and the same thing happens over and over again!

Thanks! forruiningmylifealloveragain

I cannot get on with Houzz so well GrendelsMum - off to try harder after bathtime!! Ha ha. I am obsessed at the moment because we are moving.

Just scored 3x great rug bargains in TK Maxx having been scouring the internet last night for the ones I wanted and failing. I can always rely on a TK Maxx expedition.

It's amazing! The others explained it far better than I could.

It doesn't stop at interiors...

Childrens party ideas
Food inspiration
Wedding planning
Baby photography ideas
Wish lists and present lists for you and your family.

Enjoy

I'm enjoying reading this blog at the moment, especially if you plan to DIY: www.younghouselove.com/

There are lots of inspiration rooms on there too.
