Help me choose some kind of wall covering for my bedroom.

Pics on profile. I don't mind wallpaper or paint. The curtains need to stay so it's got to be something to work with them. The bedspread looks a bit crumpled because ds jumped on it right after I made it, it was a wedding present and looks better than it actually is there. It's velvet with silk edging and really lovely so I want to keep it too.

Any thoughts?

What sort of things do you like (modern/traditional etc)? You could pick out one of the colours from your curtains and use that as a wall colour and then the other curtain colours with soft furnishings (I think the throw would go well with this). I quite like the purpley colour but think that might be a bit too much on all walls. Will see if I have time to google some wallpapers....

I quite like clean lines, but I did want to bring some interest to the room, I hate the white walls. I thought some kind of gold colour, but I'm rubbish at visualising wallpaper across a whole room just by looking at a sample. I thought gold might be a bit too over powering too. I agree the pale purple might be a bit too much too.
