I really would like a Miele Cat and Dog Upright, however, will settle for something cheaper for the short term as I'd sooner put the money towards some furniture. It needs to be an upright as the house we have moved into has a lot of carpet on the first and second floor and needs to have a stair tool as there are loads of stairs too. Would something like a cheap Vax Upright (bagless) do the trick for now? I can see a few options in the £50 range on eBay etc. The carpet seems very forgiving as it's good quality and is kind of dark beige with a fleck in (not something I'd have chosen but it's growing on me).
