Hi just a quick question. Has anyone had gas and electricity meters changed from a prepayment meter to getting billed?
How long did the whole thing take?
(We are with British Gas)

When I moved into this house there were pre-paid meters for both gas and electricity. I rung British Gas and it was a few weeks before they came to change them over to billing one's. On the day it was torrential rain and they said they could not do the electricity one and that I had to make an appointment to arrange another visit. I never got round to making the appointment so the electricity is still on a meter. I like the fact that I do not get a huge bill every quarter so will keep the electricity. For us it works out at £10 per week.

we were quite shocked with it too, i thought we would have spent alot more on them then we have but are glad to be getting rid of them!!!

Ours were changed in less than a week but they charged £50 for each meter to be changed
