Have you rendered over pebbledash?

We're looking at a Victorian house that is lovely apart from being covered in pebbledash. Has anyone rendered over pebbledash? Did you add external wall insulation at the same time? How much did it cost?
TIA

We haven't done this but our neighbours did and it took forever! We both have 1930's bungalows which have been extended over the years. The finished job looks great on theirs but it took one man about a month to do it all.

I got a small extention to the rear of my house rendered. We had put up a new wall and while the plasterer was rendering that we got him to render over the bathroom pebble dash. He did both walls in a morning - cost was 30quid. This was for 2 smallish single storey walls.

We rendered over our pebbledash a few years ago. It took two men a couple of days and cost about £1000 iirc, and then cost about the same to paint.

We had the back wall of our 2 up/down terrace done a couple of years ago. We removed the old pebbledash then rerendered and painted. Took 2 men 1 day to remove the old stuff, then 3 days to re-render. Left to dry for 2 weeks and then 2 days to paint cost £1500 all in inc scaffolding.
