Sold sign gone, but I haven't?!

Been away, come back and my for sale/sold sign has gone. I haven't moved out yet, still waiting for further up the chain to get a move on. Is it normal for estate agents to remove signs?!

No, it's normal for drunks to take them on a Saturday night and put them outside someone else's house.

Hmm I wondered, but no-one passes my house, its tucked away in a corner and not seen!

I wish mine would go. its just advertising for the estate agent now and its been months!

A certain notorious London agency is well-known for nicking rival agency boards. I'm sure it happens in other parts of the country too.

We've taken ours down because it was a pain to mow around but I've never had an agent take one down. I second a drunk person.

Rivals might nick signs if there is about to be a board count.

It's not actually the agents who put the boards up/down they contract someone else IME. Agents tend to like boards up as long as possible, as it's all advertising.

it's been taken by pranksters. Agents take FOREVER to remove them.

When we were selling our flat, one of our neighbours took an axe to our sign - twice! Apparently he didn't like For Sale signs outside 'his' property. Except, of course, when he was selling his own flat....

I had some work done on my house and got a great discount as I agreed to an ad board being put up out front for 6 weeks.
