Mice!

Help we live in a terraced house in london. We seem to be overrun by mice at the moment. It's not just in the kitchen it's everywhere including o ur bedroom and in the newly converted attic too. We have just been away this week and left out every trap imaginable and have not caught any. There is evidence of them though all over the house and even in the kids bedroom.

What else can we do to get rid of them? My husband says get rentokill in but won't they just put poison down? That's what we have been doing.

Please don't say get a cat, I would get one in a second but my DH will not even consider it.

Thanks all!

Cat might not help, I've four and the youngest one brings them in alive and sets them free, I think she wants them as pets.

If it is that bad then I Absoloutely would get someone in.

We get them every winter (unfortunately its because we live in the middle of farmland). We use traps with poison in or peanut butter. Works a treat.

agree, get someone in there's nothing more that you can do.

They may be coming in from other houses in the terrace so speak to your neighbours

We got a guy from the Council round and he gave us lots of advice. The bottom line is that if there are any holes anywhere in your house that you can poke a pencil in, then the mice can get in there. We spent a lot of time filling in holes with wire wool and expanding foam. That helped a bit. But he did say "you are in an older house in a city, you will always have mice.....unless you get a cat".

You guessed it: we got a cat and haven't had mice since. Oh, and hoover out your toaster and bread bin daily (ewww, I know!).
