Hi all, first post after lots of lurking so please be gentle! Selling our current house and hopefully moving to something a bit bigger. Does anyone have recommendations for conveyancing firms or removal firms in Nottingham, either to use or avoid?! Any suggestions much appreciated, TIA :)

Where are you moving to? We used these solicitors for our conveyancing - they were recommended by the lovely estate agents we used. Althought they are in Mansfield, they were good, and the best feature was that you could track everything online, so all searches, phone calls to/from us were recorded, and you were able to see at a glance what was the next step in the process (useful if you are a bit control freaky, like me Grin) www.fidler.co.uk
We used these guys www.removals-storagenotts.co.uk for our move, and they were great - reasonably priced and got the job done with minimal fuss. Good luck with it all!

Thank you! Moving to Radcliffe so other side of Notts to you but sure most firms will cover most areas, hopefully! Starting to panic slightly when thinking of all the things to be done . . .

Conveyancers don't have to be local. Try reallymoving.com for a quote, but don't use the really cheap conveyancing body shops.

removers obviously do need to cover your area, and again reallymoving will give you a quote. I don't work for them, honest, but have used them and got good prices on people who did good jobs. Maybe I was lucky though...
