Double bathroom sink

It's Saturday night, I've no life and the kids are almost asleep. Let's surf.

I'm thinking about having a double bathroom sink in the next house to cope with the bathroom rush in the morning. Good idea ? (No way to get an ensuite in).

And if it's a good idea, where should I look for sinks ? IKEA has them but I presume they are plastic not ceramic which would be my preference...

I think the ikea ones are ceramic...
In fact I just checked and they are ceramic.

I've been looking for when we move house and have the Ikea App on my phone. Smile

I have an Ikea one which is most definitely ceramic. I think most of them are? It is lovely and so nice not to have to share with the kids.

Fantastic ! When I read the description I obviously must have been reading about the cabinet's materials. Thanks for letting me know ! I really like the idea of not having to brush my teeth standing in a queue. Now I want a mirror the same width, preferably with a heated panel to stop the condensation. I don't think IKEA do these but I'm often wrong ! Oh and I'd really like low level floor lighting - brill for guiding you to the toilet in the middle of the night without needing to shock yourself awake with the top light.... Any suggestions here ? Not sure if the IKEA cabinets go to the floor....

We have this sink: www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00135612/

and a base unit like this www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S69903450/

but with one single deep drawer which is on legs.

I think most of them are on legs but not entirely sure as it was over 2 years ago we did it! (I took the old sink out and plumbed the new one in myselfGrin)

We got the wall cabinet from Ikea too but it was a smaller cheap one, not sure if they do heated ones too?

Dunno about the light either - we just leave the landing night on at night and keep the door open!

we chose not to do ensuite or double basin , we have a shower room and a bathroom
has turned out to be boys and girls
so one full of shaving stuff and t'other full of hair and makeup
kids are in separate bathrooms in the morning, and DH and I each get to ablute in peace in the evening
