Best exterior wood paint

My south facing walls all need repainting, previously done in Dulux Weathershield and it hasn't lasted at all :(

Is Sandtex better (nicer colours too!) or a Leyland/ Johnston trade one better? It is a wooden boarded home - think New England style - so I am tempted to go for a nice colour rather than just white this time.

Is it the wood you are talking about painting Scone? If so we are also south facing (albeit in Scotland) and are currently having our woodwork redone in Sadolin Superdec, which our painter recommended should wear better than the Gliddens gloss we originally had.

Hi Elliptic, yes it's the wood. Wood wood everywhere :) Haven't heard of the Sadolin, I'll go and have a look, thanks!

Another vote for Sadolin Superdec.I had it colour matched to a fired earth colour I liked.
