How much do gardeners cost?

I was hoping someone here would know how much a gardener costs for general maintenance and grass cutting? Any ideas?

Mine costs £8 an hour but I usually bung him a bit more. He's a young lad straight out of horticultural collage, so established gardeners might be a bit more (or even quite a lot more).

Something like cutting grass, you could probably get a 6th former or student to do - non-skilled labour. If you want them to know what's a plant and what's a weed, then the hourly rate would go up.

£12 - £14 around here.
