Dim question about moving house and using packers

How does it work? Do I pack anything? What do they pack? What do I do? Do I stand there directing them? Do I do anything? Or do they just pack me up lock stock and barrel including unescorted cupboards full of crap?

They pack up anything that you have not already packed, or anything you tell them not to pack.

It's brilliant. They will probably pack in a day. They provide all the packaging, and will arrange to collect all the empty flattened boxes again at a date of your choice after yo have unpacked. Compared to the overall cost of moving and the disruption of living half packed for days, and the cost of boxes, I think it is well worth it - have had packers twice.

It's worth doing all your chucking and de-cluttering if you can, but otherwise just chuck it as you unpack instead.

You keep out of the way, except for labelling the boxes with the room you wnat them placed in when they unload the van.

The good thing is that if they pack, the stuff is insured of they break it.

We packed our own stuff, and they did the rest. We took the liability of something breaking tho - unless the box was obviously damaged e.g. dropped by them.
Yes, we just left them to it, and provided tea!
