Trying to buy our first old home, it's victorian and I am a bit nervous about the work involved.
Friend of a friend has visited our home (he is an architect) and I think he'll be good.
How helpful was yours along the way?
We will be redoing kitchen, main bathroom/shower room, utility, some work to cellar and general redecoration.
I have planned to use the architect for helping to plan the work and ensuring that nothign gets forgotten as we plan the works. Ie working out sockets, flooring etc, when to bring in each trade, and drawing pics for builders to work from.
