Interested in a property being marketed by them but heard a rather scary Radio 4 programme last month about dodgy agents/solicitors conning people and am slightly wary as have never encountered this agent before....anyone used them as sellers or seen a property of theirs as buyers?

Lots of us here on MN have used HouseNetwork and other on-line estate agents, I personally sold my house 3 years ago with HouseNetwork and bought the house I am in through them too, pure coincidence.

I couldn't come up with a reason as to why I should pay an extortionate fee to a high street estate agent (I had in the past)

I personally never registered with an estate agent whilst house hunting, just went on Rightmove and Globrix.

I was very happy with their service, the only thing that I had to do was show people round but then that didn't bother me. They dealt with the negotiations side, kept me up to date with feedback and I paid less than £700.

We were planning to buy out first house through them but got messed about with the vendors. I felt they had no incentive to sort out problems - vendor said no chain and wanted to move quickly to them then looking for houses and then said we would have to pay their fee to move earlier - felt if there was a estate agent dealing, these problems would have been resolved as it would affect their commission
