wooden floor in bedroom...yes or no?

planning a desperate revamp of my bedroom...was thinking of putting wooden flooring down....

am a bit worried about the noise element...will it make the room echo-ey?

also worried about the dust bunny factor because I am lax at cleaning

any thoughts?

Oh yes Morebeta, that looks like what we had in the uk (nostalgic)... he really did a great job and no draughts.

It is ridiculously easy to do took DH about half an hour per room (OK rooms not that big, but it took longer moving the furniture than draught-proofing the floor )

We're going to go wooden throughout in our next house. Carpet is a PITA, it keeps all the dust and stains. But we will buy rugs everywhere and probably fairly cheap ones so it doesn't matter if something is spilt on them.

We are buying a 1930s house so we're hoping there will be a lot of original floorboards.
