Results of searches by solicitor done, survey on house tomorrow - if that goes ok I presume the mortgage lender sends us a mortgage offer. Is there anything else that needs to be done or do we just finalise the moving date?

Your solicitor will write to the other side with enquiries next I believe.

Thanks CM, what type of enquiries?

Boring ones! A lot of standard questions re boundaries, neighbour disputes, restrictive covenants etc.

Yes after the survey is done you will get an offer (if all is ok 1-2 weeks later), the solicitors enquiries can take a while if you don't keep nagging them! Then you sign a contract and send your deposit to solicitor when an exchange date is agreed.

We are at the start of this process again after our last purchase fell through because of a stupid twat vendor.

Hope all goes well for you!
