Ensuite door - more help needed

Hello,

Still writing the builders spec.

Most of my house is either 6 panel Georgian style doors, or glazed doors (3 x 5 rectangular panels www.kgjoineryservices.co.uk/USERIMAGES/Glass%20panel%20door.jpg)
Neither of which i'm crazy about.

I'm having to put in more of the 6 panel doors, but I think I've an opportunity to do something different in the ensuite.
The house is cottagey in style. The ensuite will have a very large window, so would be great to get some light into the bedroom from that.

I'm really stuck on what to do:

a) use another 6 panel door (not glazed).
b) too Victorian?
c)bit like a pub?
d) too modern?

Any thoughts? Anything better?

We don't have a door at all to our ensuite! Just a bigger than normal opening.
Just before we had ours built we stayed in a gorgeous b and b and the ensuite simply had a curtain across the doorway. It was so lovely that we copied the idea, but have yet to add the curtain! The house was cottage style and the curtain was thick, sumptuous material that swept on the floor.
I love the light that comes into our bedroom from the ensuite. Don't particularly feel the need for a door, wouldn't dream of pooing in there anyway, and no other need for privacy.

I'd go for a panelled door without glass.

Unless all the occupants of the house are deaf, it is an advantage to have a door that muffles sound. That means it needs to be solid and heavy.

If your other 6-panel doors are modern repro, and painted, I'd go for a moulded 6-panel fire door. They are very good for soundproofing and will cost well under £100 plus fitting. A heavy solid door, if traditionally made of timber, will be surprisingly expensive.

The modern door will bring light in to the bedroom and will also give a contemporary vibe which you mat prefer. The B door does look pub like. I think a mix in an old house is good I get asked for contemporary in ensuites a lot where people don't want to stick rigidly to period features.

Out of those I would go b or a, c looks like a pub and d is v v modern/will date IMO

If you want a glazed door - What about a less stark contemporary version
