Maison du Monde - any experience please?

There are absolutely loads of things I fancy from this shop, particularly light fittings. Does anyone have any experience iof this French shop?

The catalogue is quite like Ikea and it is quite reasonable. I think they deliver to the UK and have a few outlets here too.

I find them a bit hit and miss. We have a lovely solid wood kitchen table and a bedroom chair. Also good for soft furnishings. I would avoid the painted furniture - even in the shop it looks chipped.

Avoid Maisons du Monde! I had to return a sofa because the springs went after only a month. Then the same thing happened again. This time they reluctantly agreed to a refund, but took 2 months to uplift the sofa and I'm still waiting for my money. Really bad quality and shocking customer service - indifferent and rude.

Maison du Monde is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I warn everyone to be very careful dealing with them.
I had the wrong items delivered, and no confirmation to deliver the correct items. I requested a refund and it was refused until the incorrect items were collected. I have had 4 weeks of endless calls and emails with Maison du Monde and to no success, they have stolen my money and left me with goods that I never ordered. They make guarantees for collections and deliveries that they can not go through with. I have spent 3 days home from work for their deliveries and collections and still nothing has happened. It is promise after promise and absolutely no action. So many hours of my time have been wasted on hold with their terrible customer service centre who seem incapable of fixing anything.
This is theft of my money and I will never use this company again. I would suggest never ordering from them. I am 4 weeks into this and still don't have my money back. I ordered from Cult Furniture and had my delivery within 5 days without problems so I would recommend ordering with them.

Don’t even try , worst company ever !

Do not use this company, you will be bitterly disappointed.
The quality of their products is very poor. Ordered dining room table and chairs, the majority of which were damaged and of very poor quality.The dining table is also damaged. No response to emails or phone calls. I asked Pay Pal to intervene to get my money back.
Their goods come from China and I do not think they even inspect the items before sending them to you. Avoid this company.
