Reasonable budget for fitted wardrobes?

I wondered if £1000 is enough as a budget to get a joiner to fit sliding doors onto two natural alcoves (loft conv so have alcoves ideal for using as wardrobes)?

Do you want him to make the doors or just fit them? Have a look online for sliding doors or wardrobe doors - you can get them very reasonably if your opening is a standard size. If it is just fitting you won't need a joiner - you can buy the door mechanism on line (I just got a pair for pine doors for about £60). My joiner made me doors and charged me £300 for the doors and fitting. Less than £400 all in. I'm in southwest.

Thanks, I will need them made ( or supplied) and fitted. I put it up on rated people but haven't had any responses yet so might be a bit low budget wise

Slide robes reckoned £10 per cm, pricy end, but useful for comparison?
