How much would it cost rebuild our garage?

We have an asbesdos falling down kind of 1930s garage. We want to have it removed and replaced with a new bespoke garage approx 2 x 6m, with pitched roof and knocked through to our kitchen. Anyone have any idea what this would cost?

Partly it depends where you are.

Well, we bought the materials ourselves and employed a builder to do the labour, paid about £12/hour overall cost was about 2k, inc plastering and flooring, and the door into the house was an external door (better insulation/security) so was pricier than the usual internal doors.

We are outskirts of South Bristol.

We drew up and had the plans approved ourselves, saving costs that way.
