No tax return this year?

Just wondering if anyone knows why I wouldn't have received my 'notice to fill in a tax return form' this year?

I've been SE for a while now, but since DC's (about 10 years ago), earnings have dropped to below tax threshold.
I've still been asked to fill one in every year anyway.

This year is the first year I've not recieved one.
Perhaps they've got bored at my lack of taxable income?

I did wonder! thought maybe about income from renting out a house...

Anyway- you will still need to do tax return, but they don't send out returns, it's all online isn't it?

Go look on the HMRC website anyway... you need to register, and they send you the log-on/password throught eh post, so don't leave it until the last minute. (I do hope you don't mean for last tax year i.e. due in January)

I've been filling them in online for a few years now and been registered as SE for nearly 20 years. But I still usually get a notice to fill in a tax return through the post.
I would have thought they'd at least email if they've given up posting notices.
Just realised the date and thought it strange I'd not been sent anything yet.

I'll have to look online or phone them. Just didn't want to fill one in unnecessarily, as I know I'm under again this year.

Which tax year do you mean for - 2011/12 or 2012/13?

It's not long into the new tax year don't expect they've sent all their letters yet pretty sure I haven't received one yet but I still expect to have to complete a return (for 12/13).

Miranda - 2012/2013.
It usually arrives 5th/6th April every year. I know I'll have to do one really, just wishful thinking that I might have been dropped off the system due to lack of interest.

Am pretty sure I haven't had one for 2012/13 yet and I know I need to do one.
