Removing light scratches from glass?

I don't know how they got there, but the glass on my patio doors have patches of really light scratches on them. I wondered if there was any way of polishing them out?

It's probably where someone has been rubbing them without having previously washed all the dirt and grit off.

a wet brush and a cleaners squeegee are much better for glass than a cloth or sponge.

It is possible to buy a glass-polishing powder (I think it is crushed quartz), it is sold for taking scratches out of car windscreens. However, having tried it, I would say the time and effort makes it impractical. It might be easier if you had an electric polishing mop.

Thanks piglet
what you say makes sense - They were only fitted last spring and decking at the same time, I think they must have been scratched during the clean up.
