You could apply immediately but if the previous company that declined you put that on your credit record, it might mean other companies are wary. Being declined for a mortgage could be caused by a multitude of factors so, if your credit record was otherwise exemplary, it wouldn't be such a big deal - it depends why you had been turned down in the first place.
