Ideas for decorating bedroom please

My bedroom is 3.9m x 2.6m. I've got my bed at one end of the room (smallest wall) and a wardrobe and dressing table on the opposite wall with the door next to the dressing table.

I've stripped off the wallpaper that was there and will be putting some more up as the walls aren't great.

I'm thinking of a pattern wallpaper behind the bed and then wallpaper which I will paint on the other 3 walls.

I've got about 6 samples so far and, whilst they're OK, none of them are great.

Any ideas? As the room is quite small I don't want it too dark. Previous owners had black and grey wallpaper on all the walls and it was very dark.

What sort of thing were you looking for?

If floral isn't your thing then these are probably no good though! Are you looking for modern, traditional, bold, neutral?

Don't bother with wallpaper. Why not try painting off white then have an accent colour on one wall? Have you space for bedside tables? If so, have lamps and hang mirrors behind the lamps on the tables to reflect more light (Internet idea!)

I meant don't bother with patterned wallpaper!

Houzz.com is good for ideas.

The wallpaper I've looked at have been floral which I haven't really taken to. The bed is in the centre with bedside table at each side so like the idea of mirrors.

All lovely but I prefer the second one for colour as you can easily reprint if you don't like but harder to change wallpaper!
