Diningroom Storage

I need some cupboards in my dining room for storage. I need more storage than a traditional dresser would give but don't want to go for kitchen cupboards. I've looked at the Ikea Besta range but they're too shallow. Can anyone suggest an ikea alternative?

I want to use the storage for overflow from the kitchen (which is tiny) and keep plates and also gadgets etc. but would also like some open shelves for glasses etc.

Has anyone tried to do the same?

I really like the Expedition range and you can get various inserts to make the different cubes more useful, such as drawer inserts, cupboard doors or boxes.

Expedit not expedition, blooming autocorrect!

Thanks Jayne - reading back, I've just realised i wrote "an ikea alternative" when I meant to say "an alternative to Ikea"!! [bublush]

I've looked at Expedit as well and it isn't flexible enough for what I want. The cupboards aren't quite big enough.

How about EBay? If you like the mid- century look, there are loads of roomy sideboards.

That's funny, I did wonder why it had to be specifically ikea!
