Megaflo & boiler

We're planning a loft conversion and will install a megaflo tank as part of the work. Our boiler must be at least 15 years old - it's massive but still runs ok I think (house been rented for a while). Will we need to install a new boiler too?

Assuming you currently have a hot water cylinder, not necessarily.

When you fill a bucket at the cold tap in the kitchen, or the garden tap, and time it, how many litres per minute do you get?

Is the incoming pipe to your stopcock copper, lead, iron, or plastic? What diameter?

Thanks PJ. Not sure about the water pressure & incoming pipework and can't check right now as I am in the US for a few more weeks. But we are getting some work done one the house after the tenants leave so I'll ask one of the contractors to check.

if you have poor water flow a megaflo will be disappointing (unless you run a new, larger, supply pipe)
