Headboards

Help!

Just bought a small single divan bed for dd and realised how awful and expensive headboards are! Do I really need one? If so, does anyone know if a single size headboard will fit a small single bed - I know it will overhang at the sides but just not sure about the fitting on the divan?

TIA

We don't have one. Not sure why people do, actually.

Thre are normally fitting bolts at on end on the base, you slot the headboard in and tighten the bolts up. Stops the bed being pushed away from the wall while you are sitting up, and makes it more comfortable too. I ordered mine on line and had no problems, can't remember where from though, sorry.

Just make one! I've done this a few times now, piece of hardboard to fit bed, covered it in foam and then fabric. You can also pull through buttons through if you're slightly more crafty. Really easy to do and very impressive!

Ooh I like that idea Mandy21 - I've got some nice fabric I could use!

Thanks all for the replies..
