I am currently living in hitchin. property is so expensive here we're looking at moving to a new development on the western side of bedford, about 3 miles from the train station.
I've heard all sorts of horror stories about bedford but the town centre seems fine to me. nothing amazing but ok. does anyone here live on any of these new developments or out to the west of bedford. I know it's not ideal but we can get so much more space for our money and i don't particularly love hitchin either - think its over rated and full of pikeys too! dog poo and fag butts are everywhere and the town centre is becoming populated by bargain and charity shops...
any advice from anyone currently there???
