Has anyone bought a part exchange house from a developer ?

There's one come up for sale in the right area but over priced compared to what others have sold for do you think they will take lower offers or do they sell on for as much as they can ?

Developers normally pay significantly less to people who part exchange their house. They are normally a bit of a bargain. Are you sure the house is over priced? With regards to making an offer, it probably depends how long it's been on the market for. They normally price to sell within 4-6 weeks.

We did. We got paid £36k more then they finally managed to sell it on for eventually 8 months later.

Best thing we ever did! If we had waited to sell our old property we would have never got our beautiful house.

We found out who they used to value, got them to come and value our property before we said we would go ahead with px. Then when the developers wanted to arrange valuations told then we had them from x and y estate agents already and gsve them prThere didn't have a leg to stand on to try and value it low Grin

Yes I'm sure it's over priced as its 305 one sold in the next street for 299 last year and 2 more started over a year ago at 305 and are now reduced to 297 and still not Sold all identicle btw

I was thinking of offering 190 rising to 195 it's only been on 2 weeks though so maybe they'll decline that at this stage were all ready to go though and the houses empty
