Has anyone moved from Surrey to Bucks?

Hi all, hubby and I are putting our 3 bed semi on the market this week and we can relocate almost anywhere that's commutable to London.

I've seen some reviews on Great Missenden and Prestwood in Bucks and wondering if anyone else has made this kind of move? We're just looking for more for our money, nice schools and preferably a lovely village.

thanks!

Hi- first time I have ever posted but saw this and just wanted to mention. The planned High Speed rail 2 is planned to go right by Great Missenden (not sure about Prestwood) Thought I would mention, it may not matter to you but just in case it's worth looking into.

Prestwood will be safe, so will Princes Risborough,High Wycombe, Beaconsfield, Marlow and several other towns. The Chalfonts will be affected as will some of Amersham and Aylesbury. The Lee is going to be hit and I think maybe Hyde Heath too? Chesham won't be but I personally would avoid there anyway.

thanks, that's really helpful to know! If you can recommend any nice villages in the area other than the ones mentioned please let me know! Smile
