Nice house but too many sofas think they must be on commission for dfs www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-25273356.html?premiumA=true

It looks like a guess house (spot the bowl of mini cereal boxes in the dining room) which would explain all the randomly arranged sofas. Nice, but needs a personality injection.

MinimalistMommi · 24/03/2013 18:49

Can you imagine cleaning that place? Shock

pictish · 24/03/2013 18:50

I don't like the shiney floors or the fact that the view seems to be of a not particularly attractive stretch of an A road.

thebestpossibletaste · 24/03/2013 18:54

I love that house!

pictish · 24/03/2013 18:56

I keep imagining the kids' heads, limbs and joints making contact with the hard shiney floor! Not to mention the cups, glasses, plates and mobile phones.

Wooden floors I like...rugs I like. Floors you can see your reflection in? Not so much.

SoupDreggon · 24/03/2013 18:56

I don't like the shiny blandness of it.

The blurb does say it could run as a B&B so I agree that may explain all the sofas!

serin · 24/03/2013 18:57

Nah Sad not doing it for me.

Bet the road is really noisy.

SoupDreggon · 24/03/2013 18:57

Give my family a few days in the and you'd no longer be able to see yr face in any of the surfaces :o

pictish · 24/03/2013 18:59

No home should require an industrial buffer for the floors. That's just showing off. Wink

MrsSpagBol · 24/03/2013 19:04

Love the kitchen.

breatheslowly · 24/03/2013 19:27

As notquitenormal spotted

RCheshire · 24/03/2013 20:27

Does nothing for me I'm afraid. Just big and bland inside and out.

PigletJohn · 24/03/2013 23:59

it has the look of multiple extensions, with (presumably) an original house somewhere underneath.

Very open-plan and glassy, so it will be cold from September to May.

UnrequitedSkink · 25/03/2013 00:06

That's not property porn, this is property porn! The decor is Barbara Cartland on acid (in places - see bedroom floral headboard) but think what you could do with it...

UnrequitedSkink · 25/03/2013 00:10

Be Still My Beating Heart

pictish · 25/03/2013 00:29

That house is truly amazing unrequited!!

I live Edinburgh way. I'd like to have that house.

herhonesty · 25/03/2013 01:09

I'm moving to Edinburgh. Please.

Still18atheart · 25/03/2013 01:13

Love the kitchen and I like the size of the bedrooms

Selks · 25/03/2013 01:24

How about this amazing place? - a huge and beautiful hotel with a slightly weird vibe to it..

Selks · 25/03/2013 01:29

Hmm just googled it...it's been a training centre for missionaries, hence the odd vibe. They're clearly desperate for a quick sale - I wonder why?

scripsi · 25/03/2013 01:43

Perhaps they found another position selks

(sorry it's late).

Grin

am fantasising about an escape to the coast, but the colours on these photos are a bit mad

Edinburgh house looks lovely, but with all these huge houses all I can think of is the huge bills they must have. I have lived in a old Victorian house we had to wear layers of clothing, the heating bill was scary. There is little you can do to make these old houses warmer unless you board all the wall out internally. The sea views house is just dreamy wow.

impecuniousmarmoset · 25/03/2013 12:54

oh wow, I LOVE that Edinburgh house. The greenhouse!! aaaaah.

MrsJamin · 25/03/2013 12:56

Don't like the OP's house at all, too clinical and artificial. Love the Edinburgh house though.
