Credit Checking Agency for Tenants

Just asking other private landlords which credit-checking agency you use for tenants?

It's been so long since I've had a change of tenants I've forgotten who I used!!

Good recommendations welcome (as well as ones to avoid!)

Thanks

I don't. Waste of time. I ask for 3 months bank statements. Tells you much more.

Thanks for that - very helpful.

It was a bit abrupt though so sorry!

Someone can have a good credit check but be in debt, overdraft etc. if you see their current account you can see if they are paying current rent or mortgage. It also confirms address too

Don't worry - it is helpful! Thanks! Had wondered how useful the checks were. Sounds like bank statements are more useful.

Others will disagree I am sure but it is the way I do it and so far, touch wood, since I started I have had no problems. Good luck.
