Tenancy agreement says rent is less than it is...

...is this an issue?

My tenancy agreement says my rent is £495 pcm when it is actually £525. Both numbers are above the housing benefit rate, so I still get the full amount, but is it an issue in any other way?

Why the discrepancy, do you know?

I would query with your landlord - especially if you receive HB as you don't want to be stung with any overpayment / underpayment repayment or anything... Its possible a service charge has been added that's not specified in the TA (although it should be) or they've just made an error with one of the figures. Or if you've been their tenant for a while, your TA shows the original rent charge which has since increased.

I'd give them a call just to check - hope that helps Smile

The first standing order thing I signed was the lower amount, then the agent called me again to sign a different one with the higher amount

I've only been here a month, and is is only a six month contract that I'm hoping will be renewed to a longer lease, so I don't want to kick up any kind of fuss

They probably lazily used an old tenancy agreement and forgot to update the rent. Just point it out to them.
