Linen curtain fabric - advice needed

I have seen some gorgeous printed 100% linen curtain fabric that I would love for my living room. I've never had pure linen curtains before so my question is, would the fabric crease badly and look a mess? I'm not aiming for an ultra formal perfect look but neither do I want a crumpled look. I'm making the curtains (just pencil pleat, nothing fancy) myself but have only made cotton curtains previously which have turned out well. Any tips advice? Thanks!

I've never made curtains but we have linen curtains and I've just ordered new custom made linen curtains for the new house. I think the trick is to use interlining in the middle then thermal, blackout or plain lining. So you have a total of three fabrics. It hangs better. In terms of creases, I haven't had any. I expect they just fall out once hung. HTH

Your curtains won't be creased unless you start wearing them!
Hanging them will give a lovely weight and drape, you will notice this when you sew them.
They will be lovely, line them how you want to, they will not rot like silk.

Thanks both, that's helpful. I'll use interlining as well as lining fabric, I think. Hehe, I love the fabric so much I might wear it!

May I ask where your fabric is from, Mrsapplepants? I love linen...
