Finally getting around to decorating our hall in our 1920s house. We are lucky enough to still have the lovely original black and white floor, similar to
this Hallway is south facing and gets a lot of light. I am keen on grey and currently loving cornforth white but DH is a bit more daring and finds this too boring. Any ideas out there? Also thinking of hardwick white but worried it may be a bit too dark for the landing.
Thanks!

Do you have a paint shop near you?

I am totally converted to asking their advice now, as samples just cost money and confuse you.

Take some photos and take them into the shop and ask their advice, they usually know their stuff. Good luck.

Good idea. We wanted to go to Homebase as they have everything 20% off this we but we might have to wait until we have made a decision. We are in London so plenty of F&B shops around..

Our hallway is pure white (on panelling) and James white above. I really like it as it ties in with the other light colours we have downstairs (cornforth white, all white, strong white etc ...) - not too daring here but I light the airy feel that the light colours create.

Try skimming stone - I used in my last hallway and loved it.
