Blinds for lower half of sash windows

We have sash windows that are very close to the street and would like some blinds. Does anyone have any recommendations? Should we look at bottom up ones?

We got some really nice ones from IKEA. They have a slim metal bar which we put across the horizontal wood of the sash, they let light through but no gawpers.
