Anyone got a Meg stove?

We have ripped out the fireplace and have a big hole ready to be lined and then fitted with a lovely multifuel stove.

We are considering the Meg 4.5kW Contemporary or Original. The specs match everything we want, they're made in the UK, available from a local independent retailer and look nice - neat, but not so uber cool it would look silly in our house.

However, I'd never heard of them before we saw them in the showroom and they're not cheap, though no more expensive than our other options (Stovax Stockton, Esse 500, Aarrow Ecoburn). Anyone got one and can sing its praises?

Hi
Did you buy a Meg stove in the end? We are also considering one but can't find any reviews.
Many thanks
Susan

Looking for a recommendation too - did you get a Meg stove? What's it like?

We did get the Meg stove.

We have a problem with the door not latching properly and one of the fire bricks has cracked already. It may be down to the installation though. Pick your installer carefully.

Apart from this, it looks great and kicks out a ton of heat. We are going to be toasty this winter.

Thanks a lot for your reply. We are getting one installed in a couple of weeks, can't wait :)
