hallway/stairs/landing decorating - please help!

I'm struggling to decide how to decorate hallway walls which have both picture and dado rails. Ideally I'd have off-white on the ceiling and above the picture rail, and green (F&B Ball Green) on the rest. But the landing, which is long narrow and dark, looks really good with cream (F&B Matchstick) on all and I don't know how to get these to work together.

Would you:
(a) introduce some cream into the hallway? At the moment it is cream below the dado and above the picture rail which is nice, but it has a cream ceiling too which makes it quite dark so we really want a white ceiling. I'm worried it'll look 'stripey' if we have cream, green and white though.

(b) give up on the green and do it all cream/off-white? We have 5 doors off the hall which are a mid-brown varnish and a dark wood bannister and table, so that adds a bit of contrast (floor is pale pine).

(c) have the green/off-white in the hall then switch to the cream at some point on the stairs (these turn 180 degrees so could be done at one of the corners). Or would this be too much of an abrupt change?

Decorator starts shortly and my head is all over the place!!
Thanks!

we have all white on ceiling, above dado and on woodwork.
shaded white below dado, it was ball green but i found it too dark .
personally i think 3 colous on 1 wall is too much- if you want a white ceiling ,i would paint above the dado white as well.
