Flooring with underfloor heating

we have seen a new build with underfloor heating - doesn't have flooring in the living room yet - any thoughts on what would be good or not - carpet of course but would wooden flooring be a bad idea?

Engineered wood would be fine.

I wouldn't have thought carpet would be so great. The warmth may struggle to get through the layers of boarding, underlay and carpet.
We have hot water based under floor heating in the kitchen. Wood flooring. As previous poster said, engineered boards so they don't warp.the room is very warm (and this is the sole heatsource - no radiators) And in the bathroom we have electric under floor heating under stone tiles - absolute bliss.
