LED light bulbs

I have just changed all our 50w halogen GU10 lightbulba for 4w LED ones and they are horrible! Although I chose the "warm" ones they are cold and make everything look awful!
I paid £10 per bulb - too cheap perhaps?
Has anyone else done this and regretted it?!

Oh I love ours - but then I have daylight bulbs everywhere anyway to combat SAD and I have the daylight LEDs too. So much cheaper than halogens to run and it's nicer psychologically if you have a dingy day and need to put the lights on. It's only when you have a room that still has the warmer lights that it looks a bit odd, ime.

I didn't have enough for the utility room so I am comparing the old and new...

I'm replacing mine as they go and I think they look cold but for the money saved its worth it. To counteract it I have put a could of red halogen bulbs in the other ones

We have Philips warm white LEDs in our kitchen. Really pleased with them, not cold at all and not really distinguishable from the bulbs they replaced.

We just did our kitchen, also in warm white.

It was strange for a few days (odd dazzling light quality) but I am used to it now. There are 11 spotlights and I could literally watch the electricity meter spinning round before we replaced the old bulbs.
