Last week I had a scheduled visit from the case officer working on our planning application. I just had a lady in from the council with all the plans who seemed to be concerned about the fact we will overlook a neighbours front garden (we already do). Do you think this means someone has complained?
I'm now freaking out I've said something wrong :(
The case officer seemed happy last week :S

You should be able to see online if anybody has objected to your application.

Overlooking will often be considered even with no objections however.

Really where can I see complaints?

So do you think she's just the lady in charge of overlooking? Weird that no one said to expect her.

Your council website should have all details of planning applications online which should include objection letters during the consultation period.

Is missmarjoriebanks around? She knows about all things planning I think.

I can see our planning application and I can see where to submit comments. Just can't see how to read them.

Or indeed if there are any.

Can you see a list of documents, including your application forms, plans, design & access statement etc.? That is where they normally would be displayed

Karbea · 25/02/2013 17:42

I can see existing plans, proposed plans and application form.

We had this with our planning application, I think it is normal, we had no objections as we are in a weird orientation so our extension doesn't effect anyone.

We still had a report done by the parish council, which supported our application.

If there are no other documents on your case then no-one has made any objection or supported your application, yet.

It is standard procedure to look at certain elements such as overlooking, if the size of the extension is overly large etc.
