Underfloor heating help

Hi we are having an extension built and I've got a bit confused with underfloor heating. So I don't appear to be even more of a muppet when in conversation with builders can you help?

Can underfloor heating go under a wooden floor?

If we have radiators in most of the house could we have water-based underfloor heating in the new bit or would we need to have electric?

Currently in the same boat as you (building extension) - as far as I know the answer is yes to both (although we are going with tiles rather than wooden floors).

Has to be engineered wood though - solid wood would warp due to heat fluctuations

And we have radiators upstairs and ufh downstairs
