Good morning my lovely fellow Mumsnetters.
Could I pull on your reserves of wisdom in the decorating/DIY department?
This morning I have decided my goal this year is to fully update - fresh up my slowly dilapidating house. I'm fed up with the chipped woodwork and out of fashion look about it.
Whole house though - where do I start?
I will mainly be doing this on my own with a little input from DH and perhaps calling in a professional for the stairwell as both DH and I don't do ladders.
I am fortunate enough to be on a sabbatical so have time (though am studying on a short exam based course also so need to allocate time to that too) .
Any Do' and Dont's would be appreciated.
Also wall colour ideas for living areas downstairs please - fairly neutral and fresh.
This task already seems so daunting - please inspire and encourage me
